About the Artist
Caroline Stoughton is a visual artist, born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Since the age of three, Stoughton spent hours a day drawing and coloring. As she grew, so did her love of color. She began painting in her teen years and has since created a style that incorporates color and subjects that she has loved since a child. Over the years her sources of inspiration have grown and she is now, more than ever, influenced by experiences from travel, animals, and the beauty of nature. Stoughton donates artwork and a portion of proceeds to animal varying animal organizations.
Stoughton studied painting in Paris and Rome; earning her Bachelor of Fine Art degree in painting at Tyler School of Art and Architecture in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She has displayed her work at over 40 exhibits Including her solo Show, CHROMA in 2019 at Stella Elkins Gallery in Philadelphia.
Stoughton's unwavering relationship with color has earned her recognition and awards such as the Richard Cramer Color Award in 2020.
Her paintings are displayed in Private collections across the United States as well as in Rome, Italy. Stoughton's paintings have also been displayed on ABC Action News, and as cover art work on global music distribution platforms.
